My multidisciplinary practice connects large-scale figurative painting, text, and immersive sound, exploring an installation-based approach to space. Rooted in feminist inquiries into power, obedience, and binary control mechanisms, I understand my work as artistic research: translating social and theoretical friction into visual and spatial interventions.
I use the female-perceived body as a protagonist. These larger-than-life figures possess a powerful, non-sexualized presence, actively claiming physical space in a way that has historically been denied to women. In the studio, this tension condenses into a direct and confrontational form. The paintings use a tight visual focus that positions the figures frontally, where every depicted movement and gesture functions as a political claim.
By combining the monumentality of the painted figures with the open, holding qualities of sound and space, the work creates a tension field that makes structural ambiguity physically tangible.
